That is my Mom's old rolling pin though her weapon of choice was a big wooden spoon when I did something wrong and got hit. Then she would say those words that struck fear in our hearts."Wait until your father gets home!"
Today my Italian parents would be arrested for child abuse but back in the day there were consequences for bad behavior. Saying the F word to my teacher was not even an option. My father would of killed me. There was respect back then. Those days are gone forever.
I just made a salad and burgers for the monkeys. I have to run up to my daughter Katie's house to bring over the leftovers. It gives me an oppourtunity to wear my Mom,Jennie's coat and fur hat.
Hope all is well in your life Hon. I regret I couldn't tell my parents about me in the living years. It's too late when they're gone. Hugs.

You always have to look on the bright side. The only option to growing old is dying young. Not good. The older you get the more honest you get and tell people "F off you asshole!" By the time you're 85 you don't give a rats ass what others think.
I was at my GG friend Chris's house in Clinton. Chris is the widow of my best buddy Gary of 40 years who died of a heart attack 4 years ago. I do down and help her with her house and cook. Her dog Bootsey died last friday and I went down with Marley to cheer her up and cook for her.
Her husband Gary was the funniest guy I ever met. He was this big overweight Irishman who was the library director at The Henry Carter Hull library in Clinton CT for twenty five years. The year before he died,the National Library Association came out with there annual rankings of libraries. His library was first in Connecticut and nationwide in 1800 libraries in cities of Clinton's size he came in 7th. They didn't know that they had a big kid running the library. That's why it was like walking into Pee Wee's Playhouse. There is something to be said for those who never lose the kid inside. Have a wonderful evening Hon. Hugs
